We have been allowed a limited number of spaces at Hoo Swimming Pool to join in with the Medway Big Splash event. This is taking place on Saturday 20th January, meeting at school at 10:15 and returning at approximately 1.15pm. There is no cost for this event and in recent years has been very popular and highly enjoyable.
Although there isn't a requirement to be a strong swimmer it is better if children have a good degree of confidence so that they can enjoy all of the activities on offer.
We can only take children aged 8 and over to fit in with the Medway Council pool admission policy although we may be able to take a few very confident swimmers from Year 3 who are not quite 8.
We may not be able to take all those who wish to go and if needs be will select children based on swimming confidence and school attendance. If we can't manage to include your child you could always try to book as a family by going to http://www.medway.gov.uk/default.aspx?page=4647

Nothing beyond usual swimming kit is needed (hats optional on this occasion) and it would be a good idea to have a substantial snack to keep going until home for lunch! Lockers are available with a £1 coin (it is returned) and vending machines may be a possibility too! No fizzy drinks please.
There is also the opportunity to take part in the long distance challenges on Sunday 21st but to sign up for that you will need to complete the separate online form.
